The adage, “It’s what’s inside that counts,” is the crux of why your brand is relevant to women and determines the depth of their connection. Women must believe in your brand promise, but belief starts on the inside, with you.

If you and your team don’t believe who your brand is and why your brand is, there’s zero chance that your female audience will believe. Women respond to brands that are authentic and transparent, and your team creates the authenticity and transparency they crave.

So, how do you ensure that you and your team truly believe? Test your belief.

👏 Before launching or relaunching your brand, work with your internal team to ensure you’re all on the same page.

🙅 Trust me when I say that everyone believes the entire company is aligned once brand guidelines are created and presented. But that’s simply not the case. More often than not, even senior execs aren’t aligned. And the further you get from the source, the worse it gets. Walking through your brand guidelines deck isn’t enough to align all stakeholders, and it’s definitely not enough to create belief.

👌 Start by bringing your brand to life. All key stakeholders must see the brand as a living, breathing entity before they can believe. This isn’t silly or trivial. Your living, breathing brand is what women want to connect with – this is worth it.

💪 Your brand comes to life when its identity is discussed amongst staff.

🍳 Imagine, for example, watching your colleagues argue about what your brand would eat for breakfast. I’ve seen it. You can see the brand coming to life right before your eyes, and it’s fantastic!

🤔 Challenge your team to explain why they feel the way they do. Having an opinion isn’t enough. The more engaged your team is, the deeper their belief, which has a direct correlation to your female audience’s belief – remember it’s what’s inside that counts.

😊 At HerBrand, this exercise is called a BELIEF Workshop. Believe it or not, it
